The E4 F\u00f6rbifart Stockholm is a major transport infrastructure project located to the west of central Stockholm. The new motorway section extends approximately 21 kilometres, of which around 18 kilometres run through tunnels, making it one of the largest and most technically demanding road projects in Sweden.<\/p>\n

The scheme comprises three lanes in each direction and six interchanges. Upon completion, it will significantly enhance north to south connectivity across the Stockholm region and is set to become one of the longest road tunnel systems in the world.<\/p>\n

Construction is being carried out under the supervision of Trafikverket and is divided into multiple delivery contracts and phases. The project represents a highly complex tunnel and motorway system, with demanding requirements for technical systems, safety, multidisciplinary coordination, logistics, and operational reliability.
